It is an independent Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name <em>Mirabile Dictu<\/em> \u2014 Latin for <em>\u201cwonderful to tell\u201d<\/em> \u2014 captures the spirit of the Festival: to celebrate films that convey faith, goodness, and the beauty of the human soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the universal language of cinema, the Festival highlights works that promote <strong>positive values<\/strong>, <strong>moral integrity<\/strong>, and <strong>spiritual reflection<\/strong>, fostering a deeper understanding of the Christian message in today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are a group of people attentive to the spiritual needs of our contemporaries. We love history and beauty and religion. We love God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Festival is mentioned in Wikipedia, in the section about the Pontifical Council for Culture: <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pontifical_Council_for_Culture\">https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pontifical_Council_for_Culture<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mirabile Dictu is a privileged place of encounter for actors, directors and film makers, gathered by the concern they may have for the history and the values of the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-084289424e9ff110a36c3d119f4a0444\"><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission of <em>Mirabile Dictu<\/em> is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encourage the production and distribution of films that <strong>evangelize through art<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize filmmakers and storytellers who present <strong>moral heroes<\/strong> and <strong>faith-based values<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote dialogue between culture and faith through cinema.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Festival seeks to be a meeting place for artists, producers, and audiences who share the desire to use cinema as a means to <strong>inspire<\/strong>, <strong>educate<\/strong>, and <strong>uplift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8ad606435a9320b57bd194910305e98d\"><strong>Our Philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The media have a strong influence on people\u2019s moral values. In the historical moment we live, the spirituality is a necessity. There is a personal spirituality, a social one (ethics is a face of it), a philosophical one. But there is also a&nbsp;&nbsp;spirituality that we reach through the entertainment. A film is a tool of evangelization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Festival was created as an answer to the huge production of cinema and TV movies as well as television programmes inspired by the Catholic confession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wonderful history of the Church is something to be known. It is our roots. It is our history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ea470de665d762c91d69b43762718ba6\"><strong>Our President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of the Festival, Liana Marabini, is a film producer, filmmaker and publisher. She consecrates her work to the history of the Church, and is particularly concerned by the religious language and communication, something that emerges in the films she produces and the books she publishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ee2b3329222a504a5ca8cd3f133dece9\"><strong>Films in competition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The films in competition have a common element: they promote universal moral values and positive models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-cbae86cd6d2ad9f00777d0d185bd0b20\"><strong>Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prize of the Festival, \u201cIl Pesce d\u2019Argento\u201d (The Silver Fish, in Italian), is inspired by the first Christian symbol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"slide-text-bg2\"><span>We are a group of people attentive to the needs of our contemporaries.
