A child, looking through a window, feels a mysterious desire awaken&#8230; In response to this silent call, he lights a candle and ventures alone through the crowded streets of a large city. Along the travel it becomes clear that someone guides him and accompanies him for the purpose of his strange journey.&nbsp;<br><strong>Best Documentary<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>A Man of God<\/em>&nbsp;by Krzysztof Tadej \u2013 POLAND<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; A documentary on the life and activities of Father W\u0142adys\u0142aw Bukowi\u0144ski, apostle of Kazakhstan and a prisoner of Soviet labor camps, where he spent more than 13 years secretly celebrating Mass, confessing and announcing God. He was betrayed, but overcame his aversion to those because of which he had suffered. A courageous missionary in Eastern Europe, where every day people suffered repressions and they were not allowed to think about God. Father Bukowi\u0144ski dedicated himself to people, helping them with simplicity and joy. He was beatified on 11 September 2016 in Karaganda (Kazakhstan). \u00ab\u00a0Man of God\u00a0\u00bb was filmed in Poland, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best Director<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pablo Moreno for&nbsp;<em>Luz de Soledad<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 SPAIN<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Olga, an only child, has to take care of her father Arturo, a man who is irascible and ill. Overwhelmed by her work, she needs someone to assist her during the night and she turns to the last person that her father would like to see: Sister In\u00e9s, a nun Servant of Mary. The film tells the story of the Servants of Mary, a congregation born in Madrid in 1851 under the inspiration of the priest Miguel Mart\u00ednez and that Soledad Torres Acosta led until her death in 1887. These are difficult years in which Soledad and the Servants of Mary face revolutions, epidemics. and religious persecutions. Mother Soledad was canonized by Paul VI in 1970.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best Film<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Ignacio de Loyola: Soldier, Sinner, Saint<\/em>&nbsp;by Paolo Dy \u2013 PHILIPPINES<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Film dedicated to the life of Ignatius of Loyola, young and arrogant officer of the Spanish army, raised during the political unrest in the sixteenth century in Spain, who will become one of the most famous saints of all times.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Capax Dei Foundation Award for Evangelization<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>P. Olivier-Thomas V\u00e9nard:&nbsp;<em>Syllabes Divines, Myst\u00e8re sur la Proph\u00e9tie de J\u00e9r\u00e9mie<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013 ISRAEL<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&#8211; The Special Prize for Evangelization of the Capax Dei Foundation went to Father Olivier-Thomas V\u00e9nard OP, Deputy Director of the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem, creator of the show \u00ab\u00a0Syllabes Divines, Myst\u00e8re sur la Proph\u00e9tie de J\u00e9r\u00e9mie\u00a0\u00bb (Israel), now available in DVD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Longlife Achievement Award<\/strong><br>The Career Award was given to Maestro Claudio Scimone, conductor, composer, founder and leader of the \u00ab\u00a0Solisti Veneti\u00a0\u00bb, chamber orchestra specializing in baroque music and sacred music, for his extraordinary merits in the interpretation of composers of sacred music.
